Code of Conduct

As part of our commitment to make My Football Sim ("MFS", or "the Game") a great place to meet and interact with other gamers around the world, members and guests of MFS agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. You are responsible for knowing and abiding by these rules to ensure that everyone feels welcome.

All community and social-networking aspects of the Game are subject to this Code of Conduct. This includes, without limitation:

  • account names
  • group/clan names
  • profile content
  • chat and forum activity
  • league activity
  • blog comments
  • e-mail
  • private messages

Violation of this Code of Conduct is grounds for, but not limited to, account(s) termination. Termination includes you forfeiting all content associated with your account(s) and being no longer permitted use of our online services or tools in any way. MFS staff are the final judges of whether a member’s behaviour qualifies as a violation of this Code of Conduct.

This Code of Conduct is subject to change at any time without notice at our sole discretion.

 

GENERAL RULES

  • While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
  • Posting meaningless threads or posting one-word (or short) nonsense posts is not allowed.
  • Back-to-back posting in the same thread is not allowed. If yours is the last post in a thread, please edit that post instead of creating a new one. Back-to-back posts will be merged without notice, and the guily person(s) will be given a warning. After you have been warned at least once, MFS staff can decide to ban you from the Game without further notice.
  • Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, private messages, or any other social-networking aspect of the Game to spam other members.
  • You must wait at least 24 hours before bumping posts.
  • We do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate MFS community standards. MFS staff shall be the sole arbitrators of what does and what does not violate community standards.
  • Discussion of illegal activities such as, but not limited to, software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
  • Absolutely no racist, offensive religious comments or swearing in the forum. Even soft swear words are not allowed.
  • No political or religious propaganda of any kind is allowed. Regardless of the content or subject matter, it will be deleted without prejudice and notice.
  • While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about competitor's products and services, we will not tolerate blatant advertisements. Also, please refrain from blatant bashing of other games.
  • Do not exploit any technical bugs to gain an advantage. If you spot a technical issue, you should post it in the "Report a Bug" forum or contact an MFS staff member.
  • No spamming. Judgement on what is or is not spamming is at the total discretion of MFS staff.
  • Posts discussing the actions of MFS staff are not allowed. If you have questions, comments or concerns about an action taken by an MFS staff member, please send an e-mail to info@myfootballsim.com

 

ACCOUNTS

  • Each member is allowed one, and only one, account.
    • Registering multiple accounts is not allowed. If you are found guilty of registering multiple accounts, you may be banned without notice.
  • Choose your account’s username carefully. Usernames that are deemed offensive may be modified or deactivated without notice. For example:
    • Names of offensive or notorious persons, controversial political figures, references to cultural tragedies or of significant religious or occult meaning
    • Names containing profanity, obscene slang, graphic anatomical references, racial, ethnic, sexist, or religious slurs
    • Names with word combinations that produce an offensive or abusive result
    • Names of or references to illicit substances or drug-related paraphernalia
    • Names with the intent or effect of harming the reputation of another
    • Names including protocol prefixes and domain suffixes (e.g. http://, .org, .com)
    • Names that impersonate the representation of a specific business or website, including any business or website you may operate or represent
    • Proper names of MFS staff members or their titles
  • Misspellings, phonetic and alternative spellings of prohibited names are subject to modification or deactivation.
  • Do not login to another account other than your own.

 

ETIQUETTE

  • Do not use, post, distribute or link to obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, graphically or gratuitously violent, derogatory, demeaning, malicious, defamatory, abusive, offensive, hateful or discriminatory language or content. This includes "masking" language by using alternative characters, spelling or spacing to get around profanity filters.
  • Do not harass, bully, threaten, harm or cause discomfort to other persons, including any other members. For example:
    • Use hate speech or racial, ethnic, sexist, homophobic or religious slurs
    • Harass a specific person (repeated flaming, personal attacks or posting their private information)
    • Troll or bait the community in general with inflammatory statements, such as ones designed to elicit a negative response from the community
    • Post or otherwise disclose any personal or private information of another person, or any confidential information pertaining to a business, without consent
  • Do not promote, plan, glorify or engage in any illegal activity or otherwise make available content that would encourage or provide instructions for a criminal offense. These topics include, but are not limited to, crimes relating to drugs, drug paraphernalia, rape, solicitation of a minor, computer hacking, and copyright violation.
  • Do not impersonate other persons, including MFS staff, by username or self-representation , or attempt to obtain sensitive information from other members. For example:
    • Falsely claim an official title or to hold position relating to the Game
    • Falsely claim the representation of another business or website
    • Fake an existing member’s username by using similar-looking characters
    • Falsely claim to be a law enforcement officer
    • Solicit passwords or personal information from other members
  • Do not disrupt chat, forums, blog comments or other communication channels. For example:
    • Spam through repeated posts, or off-topic content by word or intent to forums or comments (scrolling, flooding, polling, or by "bumping" a post more than once in 24 hours)
  • Do not advertise. This includes:
    • Advertise or promote a business or commercial website outside of the designated areas
    • Sending unsolicited commercial or purportedly informational messages to any members
  • Do not attempt to use or gain access to another's accounts or service, engage another member under false pretenses or otherwise defraud another member. Anyone linking to, posting, distributing or promoting hacks, modifications, viruses, or password mining websites may face legal action in addition to normal account penalties.
  • Do not attempt to artificially alter the outcome of a league or game. For example:
    • Bribe or offer compensation in order to change the game outcome
    • Spam, harass, or behave in any unsportsmanlike manner that affects the game
  • Posts arguing about company policies are not allowed. If you have an issue with MFS staff, please email them directly or send them a private message via the forums.
  • If you are warned or suspended on the forum do not complain or argue about it. The same applies if a friend of yours is warned, suspend or banned from the forum. Arguing the point will not be tolerated.

 

AVATARS

  • Animated avatars are not allowed.
  • Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed.
  • Use of the MFS logo in avatars is not allowed.

 

SIGNATURES

All signatures must conform to the following guidelines:

  • You can't have images in your signature.
  • Text in signatures is restricted to 4 lines normal size, 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line.
  • Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. (Blank lines count as lines.)
  • Links to non-MFS websites are not allowed.
  • Duplicate links to the same URL in a signature are not allowed.

 

SOLICITATION

  • We do not allow people to post threads or send private messages or emails to users that advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations. Explicit advertising and solicitating in signatures is also prohibited.
  • You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral without prior approval from MFS staff. Such posts not approved will be removed without notice.
  • You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests.

 

DISCLAIMERS

  • MFS staff may deviate from the disciplinary procedures described above at any time, in any manner they deem appropriate, without notice to ensure the family orientation of the Game.
  • We reserve the right to update and modify these rules as the needs of the community dictate to ensure the smooth operation of the community.
  • While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure this community is not disrupted or abused in any way.
  • We reserve the right to ban, without notice, anyone who violates this Code of Conduct.
  • Although we will attempt to keep the community free from all objectionable content, it is impossible for us to review all content. All content authored by other members or guests of the Game are the property of the author, and neither the Game, nor 4studios (developers of My Football Sim) will be held responsible for any consequences arising from its presence within the community.
  • We reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any forum thread, forum post, blog comment, or any other social-networking communication for any reason.
